I woke up this morning with a brainstorm. I’m going to begin a marathon of virtual tours of 30 NYC Thrift Stores in 30 Days. There’s a lot to learn about a city by what people give away, and this will offer a rare glimpse of true New York through a very intimate lens. There are amazing stores in this city, all of them with their own unique niche and specialty. For locals and tourists alike, I invite you to follow my adventures. Each post will be tagged with 30×30 so you can see for yourself the second-hand delights NYC has to offer. And while there are amazing consignment and for-profit second-hand joints everywhere, I’m focusing only on charity resale shops.
I’ll also offer Twitter updates with the #30x30NYC tag, under my handle @thriftastic, so feel free to shoot me a tweet with a recommendation, or to just cheer me on.
If you’d like to read the press release, you can see it here.
