$190,000 Dutch Painting Found in Georgia Thrift Store

If you break it down, that's about a $50,000 biscuit.

A retiree living in Georgia bought a painting for “a few bucks” from a Georgia thrift store.  He brought it to a taping of Antiques Roadshow, who estimated that, should it be restored, it would sell for around $50,000.  He decided to leave the condition as it was, and it fetched a whopping $190,000 at auction from an anonymous collector.

This is further fuel for my argument that everyone take time to visit museums and become familiar with styles of art.  Not only do you enrich your mind, your knowledge could fatten your wallet!
